Picks From God 1.16.2021
Howdy and welcome back to another week of the infamous Picks from God. The Picks are 22-15 the past three weeks. Call us the U.S. Treasury. We’re just printing money for the American people. Stimulus checks? Please. Just read this article and you’ll be swimming in cash (not really for legal purposes). Regardless, We got a full slate of NFL playoff games to look forward to. So without further ado, here are the infamous Picks from God.
Saturday January 16, 2021
Los Angeles Rams at Green Bay Packers (-6.5)
Frozen Tundra in January and the Rodgers’ Revenge Tour? The Packers have won six straight and have been held below 22 points just once all season. The Packers defense should hold the Rams in check which will give Aaron Rodgers plenty of chances to score against the Rams prolific defense. Take the Packers.
Baltimore Ravens at Buffalo Bills UNDER 49.5
Cold and a chance of snow make this the perfect game for the under to hit. Both offenses are going to be running the ball and both defenses are above average. While the Bills are 11-5 against the over, the Ravens are 7-10. I think we see a relatively low scoring affair.

Cleveland Browns (+6.5) at Kansas City Chiefs 1ST HALF
The Browns be will very competitive in this game, especially the first half, for a few reasons. First, the Browns are coming off a dominant performance against the Steelers and will once again play the underdog role in this game. They come in with a lot of momentum. Second, the Chiefs had a bye last week and most of their starters, including QB Patrick Mahomes, sat in week 17 as well. Lastly, the Chiefs are notorious for their lackluster starts. The Browns are going to come out swinging and I could even see them flat-out winning this game. However, take that first half line to take play it safe. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+3) at New Orleans Saints
It’s very hard to beat a good football team twice. It’s near impossible to do it a third time. We have to trust Tom in the playoffs. It’s just sacrilegious not to. Great defenses v. great offenses in this one. Tom finally has all his weapons and they are on cruise control at the moment. Also, no home field advantage in the dome. Take the Bucs.
High School Football 1.16.2021
Southlake Carroll (+6) v. Austin Westlake
If you’re a true degenerate, do yourself a favor and take the Dragons with the points. The “Dodge Bowl” which features father (Todd Dodge of Austin Westlake) vs. son (Riley Dodge of Southlake Carroll) will be a blast. Austin Westlake has one of the top defenses in the country. Meanwhile, the Dragons have the best player in the class of 2022 in QB Quinn Ewers. The game will be decided by a field goal.
As always, thanks for reading. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
