Picks from God 10.07.2021
Howdy and welcome back to another edition of the infamous Picks from God. After another winning weekend, it is safe to say that the picks are 100% back. The Picks are 9-4 the last 2 weeks which bumps our season record to 13-11. With another batch of favorable games ahead, it’s time to jump aboard the money train.
While the Picks have been golden, the Aggies are slumping as they lost again last weekend. By my calculation, the Aggies will likely finish the year at either 7-5 or 8-4 depending on the outcome of both the LSU and Auburn games. This assumes the Aggies lose to Alabama and Ole Miss. Regardless, the Aggies have failed to live up to their sky-high expectations many had for them entering this season. The Aggies were terrible last weekend against Mississippi State. Not shockingly, the offense was terrible. However, the defense, which has been the calling card of the Maroon and White for the past few seasons, was rather non-existent. Once a playoff contender, the lowly Aggies have a legitimate chance to finish dead last in the SEC West. Additionally, with Bama coming to town it is likely the Aggies will be a .500 football team by next Monday. When does Jimbo’s seat become hot? Anyways, without further ado, here are the infamous Picks from God.
Thursday October 7, 2021
Coastal Carolina (-19)* at Arkansas State
Coastal Carolina has been obliterating team all season and I don’t think Arkansas State has much chance of stopping them.
Saturday October 9, 2021
Michigan State (-5.5)* at Rutgers
We’re staying on the Michigan State train. Rutgers just got blown out by Ohio State meanwhile the Spartans continued their winning ways.
Georgia (-15.5)* at Auburn
Georgia is head and shoulders above everyone not named Alabama. The Bulldog defense is going to give Bo Nix nightmares.
Boise State at BYU (-6)*
Boise State is terrible this year and this line is so close purely because of Boise State’s name-brand recognition. BYU is a potential playoff contender and should win this one by double digits.
Penn State at Iowa (-1.5)*
Biggest game of the week so obligated to bet it. Honestly, I could see this going either way but must give the advantage to the home team. Iowa is too good at home and I think they win by a field goal.
Alabama (1H -11)* and (-18)* at Texas A&M
ATTENTION ALL DEBTORS. Do you need to pay off your credit card? What about your car? Is that student loan debt piling up? Look no further than this game. This is the easiest money since Grandpa Joe sent those stimulus checks. As previously mentioned, A&M is TERRIBLE. Zach Calzada is about as capable of a QB as Uncle Rico and the Aggie defense was torched by Will Rodgers. Now, the mighty Crimson Tide come into Kyle Field to deliver the Aggies biggest L since deciding to go with all male cheerleaders. Alabama smoked the Aggies last year when Texas A&M was somewhat formidable. Bama might win by 50.
LSU at Kentucky (-3.5)*
LSU is a bad football team. Plain and simple. Kentucky was flying under the radar until last weekend’s victory over Florida.
Sunday October 10, 2021
Philadelphia Eagles at Carolina Panthers (-4)*
The Panthers are a very solid football team and are only getting better as they recently acquired CB Stephon Gilmore via trade. I think they win this one by a touchdown.
